This particular piece is on the news/gossip side of things related to mid calf boots and fashion in general. As stated before (on the home and about page as far as I know), here at BuyMidCalfBoots.com we are all about providing content relevant to mid calf boots (mid calf boot reviews, product information, making it easy to buy a quality pair that’s just right for you, etc.) as well as covering other similar and more unique topics (other types of clothing, news related to fashion, other boots, gossip, etc.). Essentially, we’re just here to keep things interesting…or at least we’re trying to keep things interesting.

Today’s topic, something to be considered somewhat of a fashion news article, borders gossip. Personally, I’m not to big a fan of gossip but at the same time much of the “fashion news” you come across is some what gossip-y in nature. We’ll try not to cover to much flat out gossip in the future but this particular topic is just too entertaining to not cover at all.

Here’s what we’ve got: we’ve got a character from a hit new reality TV show giving fashion advice and plugging products, big time websites covering the said star, and heated opinions all around. The hit reality TV show I’m talking about is Jersey Shore brought to us by the music television network which really isn’t that much about music, MTV. The character from the show touting advice and plugging products is “Snooki“. I’ll assume you’ve already heard about this new reality TV show and understand it’s appeal (it really does have somewhat of a cult following). Here’s the basics: a bunch of stereotypical guidos living in a house together at the Jersey Shore during the summer time.

Anyhow, it looks as if Snooki was interviewed by StyleList where she provided her insight into her own personal fashion. She says she likes to dress in UGG boots with leggings when keeping things casual and goes balls out when it comes to the clubs; it takes her around two hours to get ready. This is just the boring stuff though (well, depending on whether or not you think that the Snooki really did plug UGGs or if she really does like sporting them like thousands of other women/girls). The funny comes when she opens us up to one of her pet peeves; that is, people who are pale. All in all, Snooki’s advice given in the interview is very entertaining, considering that she stars in a reality TV show which is very much one big joke and the show itself has caused quite a lot of controversy; a bunch of unneeded controversy.

The funny continues when a writer from NYMag gives her opinion about the whole thing. She gives us a great reminder that the beauty tips given to us by Snooki aren’t worth taking seriously. The fact that StyleList covered her in a more serious manner concerning fashion is quite a mystery to this writer (I’ll admit, it’s quite a mystery to me too). Anyhow, it’s all cheap entertainment and another day in the reality TV scene.
